One of my favorite flowers is the fortnight lily (sometimes called an "african iris"). It's called fortnight because it blooms approximately every two weeks.The flower looks rather ordinary from a distance, but a closer look reveals intricate details and vivid colours. This lily grows in a big pot in front of my garage.
