We came into Santa Barbara via highway 192, along the foothills to the north of the city. The Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens are a short distance off highway 192. We stopped and toured the gardens, which contained only native California plants. Here's a beautiful manzanita specimen. Before leaving, we stopped to buy some plants, including some rare spiral aloes.
