We spent two nights on the east side of the island, about 30 miles south of Hilo in the District of Puna. We rented a guest house on a property near Kehena Beach. This is the main house - a modern beauty.
The house was built on a relatively recent lava flow (1955 flow). The guest house is hidden behind the vegetation to the left.
The grounds of the property were lush and beautifully landscaped.
